Hawala Prohibited Activities List

The following activities are not permitted when using Hawala services or Hawala card products.

Illegal Activities

Engaging in, or facilitating others in, any activity that violates any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation. This includes transactions involving proceeds of crime, money laundering, terrorist financing, tax evasion, or any other illegal financial activity.

Fraud or Misrepresentation

Using Hawala to impersonate any person or entity, to misrepresent your identity, source of funds, or payment instructions, or to defraud, deceive, or trick Hawala or other users.

Prohibited Goods or Services

Using Hawala to send or receive payments for goods, services, or activities that are illegal or highly risky, including narcotics or controlled substances, weapons or ammunition, counterfeit goods, stolen property, human trafficking, or any form of exploitation.

Gambling and Adult Content

Paying for unlawful gambling, betting, lottery tickets, adult content, or similar activities that are not legal in both your jurisdiction and the recipient’s jurisdiction, unless explicitly authorized by Hawala.

Unlicensed Financial Services

Using Hawala to operate as an unlicensed financial intermediary, including conducting cryptocurrency trading for others, running a money transmission business, or providing regulated financial services without the required approvals.
